I left my Emax strung for 3 years w/o loosing any speed.......

Nah....just leave it strung for the whole hunting season.

Most folks do this and then take the dissipator pads off when they unstring it for the off season.

Others just leave it strung all the time if they shoot frequently.

Mine is strung in September and unstrung in January.

...also wondering if anyone suggests removing string when not shooting.Haven't removed string as of yet,but I would remove dis. Pads first.
Like Awshucks said removing the string isn't absolutely necessary. However, I remember Bill T. telling me years ago, that even though one could leave an Excalibur strung all year round, it was best if it was unstrung when not in use. Kind of like shutting off the engine of a car, instead of letting it idle in park.

For the amount of time it takes to unstring it, personally I would remove it.
