It sounds like a good idea to get the matrix 355 at 789, vs equinox at 650 (actually less, you can find it on vergona outdoor website for 639).
Only concerns left are the lesser performance history of Matrix, and some questions about quality of the tact zone scope (fish tail issue). But then again, I shouldn't worry about it considering the excellent+ Excalibur warranty I have heard so much about.
Thank you all again! I will report back once I have my hands on the 355. (I've got an email back from David confirming the price and will proceed with an order shortly)
Will
PS Anybody can confirm if it's a good idea to buy from authorized dealer only? One place selling lower than 789 but not a dealer.

Will,
I would buy from Wyvern Creations with zero worries. Excalibur's excellent lifetime warranty will address any and all issues as if they arise.
When you purchase from an Excalibur authorised dealer you will always have a pair of solid legs to stand.on!

no way would I buy an equinox when I could get the matrix..
with the matrix you end up with a shorter/lighter bow and still have the nox speeds..
I agree with others on who to buy from. stay with a dealer.
not sure where you are but if in the states call Dan Miller. He is the US rep and warranty go to guy..
he will answer all your questions and may have the best prices.

It matters not where you buy an Excalibur. The warranty is good and you will deal direct with Excalibur if it is needed.

Re: help me decide axiom/ibex or equinox
I'm a long time bow hunter, and new to the crossbow. Going on the recommendation of a few <Carefully> chosen folks at my hunt club, I went with the Excalibur Axiom. I didn't get model specific in my discussions, but they were all very ardent Excal fans. I was surprised after I bought that most of them are also using the Axiom, as they are usually older guys with play money and $$$$ guns. My point here is I chose the Axiom over the higher priced bows because it will deal with everything up to Elk/Moose/Grizzly. With the addition of the Guardian ADF and the Flemish string I'll have a bow that shoots like and is a safe as a much more expensive bow. Hard to go wrong with the Axiom.
