2" 2-blade or 1.5" 3-blade?

I found a deal on some 2" 2-blade Rage heads, but I'm not sure if I would be more confident with those over the 3-blade versions. The 2" cut is intriguing, but would it beat the 3-blade? I've shot 2" 3-blade Hammerheads and they had devastating results. How do the 2" 2-blade heads perform?

Im gonna hunt with the Rage 1.5 cut, 3 blade this year to start off with . Here are some of my impressions . ( 1 ) Very straight on the shaft , ( 2 ) Shot EXACTLY same POI as field points ( 3 ) Heads came out of pack Dull , had to sharpen . I chose the 1.5 cut hoping they would penetrate better because of the slightly smaller cut . Maybe someone else can talk about the 2" version .

I shoot both and i think 3 blades are better than 2 because the hole will never close up.I'm sold on the Rocket hammerhead!I do use 2 bands to keep her closed on my 355.

I have not been able to get 2 and even 3 bladed 'heads to fly as accurately as 4 bladed, low-profile (short), fixed heads: namely, Slick Tricks. Moreover every large blade I've shot tended to plane somewhat so that arrow to arrow accuracy was inconstant. As for mechs, it's the NAP Spitfire...they don't open up prematurely.

I've only bought 2 packs of the Rage 3-blade heads. I'm 6/6 with them and had similar blood trails. Other than not being reusable due to the rocky ground here, I was happy with them. Their price keeps them out of the four quivers I have to keep filled.

I haven't used the three blade but have shot a few bear and deer with the 2" two blade. They have worked very well for me off my axiom, first bear I shot the blood trail was enourmous. Last deer the exit was almost three inches. I now use bass pro gators and have had similar results. They're a simple design, fly great and are cheap. I think shot placement and shooter confidence is the most important thing with any broadhead.

Yes, every single shot was a pass through out of the Equinox on a 362 grain total weight GTII. On two deer I got a rib on one side and leg bone on the other and still passed through. One deer was shot angled and one lung and liver left me a decent bloodtrail for 170-180 yards and the other 10 dropped in sight.
