Trigger tech
I'm thinking about buying a trigger for my 380 matrix. I was wanting some input on with one to get. The 2.5 pound or the 1.5 pound.
I also was wondering if the triggers sold would move the trigger forward any

Re: Trigger tech
If you are going to be hunting with it, go with the 2.5 lb. it is very light and all you need. I have the 2.5 and just imagine how light the 1.5 would be for hunting.
Trigger position stays the same. Enjoy.

Re: Trigger tech
The target trigger is meant for target shooting. When you add gloves, cold fingers and excitement to the mix you just might be surprised On the other hand if all your other hunting tools have a 1.5 lb trigger the target trigger will meet your expectations.

Re: Trigger tech
A set trigger like my Sako would be awesome..
I can't see a reason to change mine out, it seems perfect, and I have pulled it so many times I dream about it, wife and kids may get one though.
A set trigger, that would be perfect in every possible way for a crossbow.
That, and the red looks sexy!

Re: Trigger tech
Shot my target trigger (1.5 pounds) with gloves on last weekend. They were my friend's insulated hunting gloves. I did this as an experiment and only tried it once. While on target, I put my finger on the trigger and the bow fired. I did not feel the trigger at all. The shot was a TOTAL surprise.

Re: Trigger tech
I put the 2.5 lb in my Matrix 380. One Word: Perfection!
Hunting of course, but works Damn Fine on targets
Most my rifles (a handful competition) are set up at ~ 2 lbs. The TT trigger is in fact as good, or better, than some of those.
Cheers,
Nog

Re: Trigger tech
Recently I noticed Triggertech has the following models:
Hunter 2.5 lbs $150
Matrix Hunter 2.5 lbs $180
Target 1.5 lbs $180
Matrix Target 1.5 lbs $200
I emailed Triggertech, because I had a question about their standard Hunter 2.5 lb model. If it could be used on my Matrix 355?
The email response I received was:
Thanks for your note. Yes, the hunter model works in the Matrix. It is just a heavier release on the trigger (~3lbs) instead of our advertised 2.5lbs. It is for those people that want a lighter release on their Matrix models
