scope questions
Hi friends, I am shooting a Matrix 355 and I can't seem to dial my scope in. Couple weeks ago I found the scope mount screws loose so I got the blue thread lock out. I let the bow set for a week. Now I just can't get it to shoot a tight group. I have a Hurricane target and only shoot at one dot. At 20 yds I will get a couple bullseye then a couple flyers 2" high and to the left and 2" low to the right. Moved to thirty yds and the same thing only a larger spread. I shoot out of a lead sled to take me out of the equation. Any ideas?
Re: scope questions
Rule out the arrows first by shooting only one, marked so you load the cock vane the same every time. Make sure you're using a good solid rest too. Check that you are not canting the bow, and that the scope is set parallel to the limbs perfectly. If all is good, might be arrows, if not, could be a defective scope. You have to go through the process of elimination to know!
Good Luck.

Re: scope questions
Xcalibur is right . Rule out a arrow problem . I tend to get alittle anal about my arrows at times . I will number each one if there is problems . Then keep notes while shooting .

X3. Just put a TT Matrix Hunter on my 380 (which I love). I also got a dz Zombie Slayers set up and numbered
Step 1 - Arrow 1 out of a lead sled at 20 yds. Was 1.5" high and straight on R-L Adjusted and was 3" high. Realized I went the wrong way. Adjust 3" the other way. Dead one. Shot arrow #1 3 more times with great repeat ability (within 1/4")
Step 2 - Moved back to 40 and shot arrow #1 again. Was about an 3/4" low. Adjust speed setting down a couple mph. shot 1 again and was dead on. Repeated a 2nd times with arrow 1 to make sure I was truely on.
I was running out of daylight and wanted to see how the other flew. shoot # 2 and it was dead on a 40.
Next week, I'll shoot out at 60 with arrow #1 to confirm. Then it's testing of arrows 2-12 for repeatabilty, and put them into groups base on performance.
This is probably obvious, but you also need to watch the wind. Doesn't take much wind to push an arrow around a little bit.

Thanks guys, I will number my arrows 1-9 on the vane and shoot until I figure this thing out. Early doe season starts on Sept. 20-21.

Re: scope questions
Thanks again,Went to the web page and watched Mr. Bill's procedure for sighting in. Numbered my arrows and picked out the most accurate ones. Sighted it at 20 yds. Moved target out to 50 yds. Shot a couple times then moved the speed dial to adjust my elevation. Shot 6 bolts in a 2" group.
