Thanks for all the replies. I'm sure I will have more questions.
I can't really say now how well I can master the decocking process using the rope aid, especially in the dark until I watch the video and try it until I can do it routinely.
There is no danger of the rope aid slipping off under pressure and hitting the user when decocking?

Only if you let go of the handle.
First time I decocked my bow I was scared of what was going to happen. I did it and wondered what I was making a big deal of it for. It is actually easier than cocking the bow pressure wise.

once you learn to decock ..youll find its very very simple . the first time I did it I had my butt cheeks puckered up so tight you couldn't stick a needle in it :lol: :lol:

some states (ga for one) do not allow carrying a cocked crossbow in the vehicle.

I usually carry mine to the stand uncocked ..climb and pull my bow up then cock it in the stand. then when done I decock and lower the bow .. some folk don't like to do it in the stand but I have no problem.
I just never liked pulling up a cocked bow.
what ever you do ..TAKE THE ARROW OUT FIRST.. its been done :shock:
