I had recently posted about my string breaking after the 8th time I shot my new Excalibur 380 Matrix crossbow.

I ended up finding the string about 50 feet away from where I shot the bow. I will upload a picture of the very end of the limb when I get off of work. Customer support sent me an email and said they would replace the string and limbs if needed. There is a small dent which looks like the size of a hole punch in a piece of paper and is about 1-2 cm deep on the very edge of the limb right under the spot you attach the string. Does anybody think this would create a problem with the limb? I doesn’t look as if it will touch the string when replaced but will be mighty close. This is my second crossbow and first with a recurve system so I am somewhat new to the crossbow game.
I believe I will go ahead and buy a string while I wait for them to send me one since bow season for deer is already in and don’t wanna sit around waiting too long.

Re: Excalibur Matrix 380 Problem
pictures say a thousand words. a hole 1-2cm? or do you mean mm? on the limb edge or on the face of the limb?

Re: Excalibur Matrix 380 Problem
why don't you go ahead and put that string back on(if there is no strands broken)
and give it a try..
if it flew of then I suspect it was a full or partial dryfire or the loops too big.
it has happened to most of us
