Micro 335 and my opinion
Ok guys, here is my opinion of the Micro 335. I will not call it a review but more of my personal individual opinion.
I will refer to my 405 several times because that is what I currently own and have experience with.
Here we go:
The first thing I noticed when I saw them hanging on the rack was size or lack of. They are small compared to my 405.
The black and camo versions are fantastic looking with the nod for me towards the black or Nightmare version. The camo bow was nice and the finish is clean and defined.
The Micro balances very nice even with the quiver and arrows attached. There is no front heaviness like my 405. The bow shoulders like it was meant to be there.
The trigger is very nice too compared to my 405. Ive read several reviews recently where guys have said they think the Micro has the same trigger as the 405 but I don’t know, my 405 has significant creep and the Micro does not. There is ever the slightest creep in it but nothing compared to my 405 trigger. In fact I would not spend the extra $$ on a TT because I don’t feel it is needed, if I did I would tell you.
Finally the meat and potatoes:
1. The bow is not heavy to draw compared to my 405.. Ok you will say, it is 20 lbs lighter, it should feel easier. No seriously, the power stroke is so short that the draw is over before it begins.. That quick. Some might have an issue drawing it if not in normal physical condition but the every day guy without an ailment or handicap should have no problem while drawing..
2. The physical or mass weight is a non issue as well as long as the user fits into the above statement too. If this bow feels heavy to you, maybe get on the ground and away from the keyboard and do a few pushups before bed.. lol. Not meant to slam anyone but seriously guys this bow feels like a toy in my hands. I’m a regular Joe, 5’10” about 199 lbs, average arms, who does not do manual labor for work and I think it is light fully rigged.
3. Shot noise is a lot less than my 405 as is the vibration. It is not quiet my any means but not loud either. It still has that metallic sound on the shot but on a much lower tone than my 405.
4. I chronoed the Micro using the stock arrows supplied and it consistently shot 327 fps.. I cannot vouch for the shop chrono but that is the # it read. I swapped out the 150 grain tip for a 100 grain tip and it shot 344 fps.. I did notice the brace height was about ½” behind the scribed rail line on the rail and did not measure it from the rail to riser line like I do on my 405..
5. Shot vibration was not as severe as it is on my 405 but in all fairness it is not close in speed either, but speed at times is over rated and mostly an ego stroker anyway.
I’m surprised that I did not take one home but I did not want the kit package because I don’t like the scope, rings or arrows or need them and the shop will not break up the kits and I understand that. . I will order it bare bow from the same guy I got my 405 from.
So… In My Opinion this bow is a huge Home Run for Excalibur and anyone wanting a much smaller rig that is not concerned with blazing speed. It is still fast enough though and the trade off in my opinion, for me is fine.

Re: Micro 335 and my opinion
Are the speeds you state a typo or were the speeds really under 300 ft/sec?

Re: Micro 335 and my opinion
I don't know if anyone noticed, but I think the bow shoulders better than the Micro (which I thought was pretty good). It may be my imagination, but the grip to trigger relationship is better too.
Good review!

Re: Micro 335 and my opinion
I agree with all said what amazes me most is how much quieter and less vibration there is then my 355 had. Also i believe it easier to cock . Yes Don i believe the grip to trigger is better in the micro.
