Last year with the Mad Max, had him come in the with 5 other big bucks, when they first came into sight by the time the 3rd one appeared I toldd myself don't get greedy just take the first one that gives you a descent shot. They were about 200 yards out when I first seen them comming directly at me on the trail I was watching, then the 4th and all looked like twins 130" to 140" but finally the 5th one appered and I could tell he was the biggest, not by a lot but bigger. Then by the toime they gotten within 50 yards and they were strung out by about 10 or 12 yards, I could see the carecter this guy was toten and really wanted a shot at him, but all 5 were shooters!!!
By luck when the lead Buck hit a tree I knew was 25 yards I looked back thru the scope and this guy was 42 yards out and I knew I could get an arrow thru a narrow window at him and decided to go for it,,,, it was about a 400 or 500 yard tracking job as I hit a little far back taking both lungs a little high but I had pretty good blood the whole way. Late season and had all but given up on a buck as I had passed 3 120" to 130" earlier in the year and it paid off,,,again. He net scored 153 3/8"
