New Bow / New Name

Post by xcaliber »

Well, I have a Matrix 330 coming in a few days, single stage TT going in, Nikon Bolt, and Flemish String going on. Got the Mr. Miller bumpers too for the first bow for me. I'm excited to get her, and have just a bit of sellers remorse. I know Glenn will take great care of her, and he has the little one to take a break from the 405's! Me, I'm heading the other direction, lower, but not slower!
Xylia (of the forest) will be my backup to Trixxi, but will see some action this fall. Also for the first time since joining the crossbow world, I have one arrow box for the crossbows. Life Simplified!

I'm using the same Black Eagle Zombie Slayer that I use on my 355, 383 total grains.

Congratulations on the new bow Dan. I don't think I could ever give up my Micro although I am tempted to change it for a Nightmare.

I never said it was easy! I had a week to think it over, and honestly it was not too hard to cock, but my target practice was really more enjoyable shooting the 355, and so the choice was made. When October rolls around, I'm going to be missing that Micro first day in the stand! The easy thing for me now is one arrow box that can stay in my truck for the whole season, This is new territory for me! :D

I love my 330 , it is so much easier to cock and it shoots very well...being retired and having a range in my back yard I shoot almost every day....every day is now a Saturday.. :D I have been using 2219's cut to 15.5 with 2 inch blazer vanes , weight 390 grains. I also spine my arrows before fletching them. groups at 40 yards average 1.5 to 1.75 from the bench.. :D I did add Danny's bumpers , the ADF when I ordered the bow and outfitted it with a Vixenmaster string.... :D

Thanks. I think it will be a great companion for the 355. Just glad that I'll be using the same arrows for both bows. Hope the single stage Trigger Tech is as sweet as I hear it is.

I know you'll like the 330 it is a sweet xbow just like you're 355. You may not be able to tell much difference between them other than a little easier to cock. I've shot both of the TT and I like the single stage better for my shooting preferences.

Have fun and let us know when you get it.
