Here is a picture of my youngest son with his first deer, a doe fawn.
I was in the ground blind with him when he made the shot with his Vixen.
Broadside at 20 yards through the lungs, the fawn made it about 30 yards before going down :D :D .

Congrats to your son! I wonder who was more nervous when that deer came out, the happy hunter or dear old dad :D ?
