Micro 355 vs bulldog 400
What are the positives and negatives between the two?
I'm considering buying one.

Re: Micro 355 vs bulldog 400
I'm not much on velocity. I prefer accurate and compact. The entire line of Excalibur bows has the accuracy department covered. The Micro 355 is small, light, and fast, but the Bulldog's cocked width is less than two inches wider than the cocked width of the 355. But the Bulldog also weighs over a pound more than the 355.
It all comes down to preference and what you plan to shoot at. Personally, the Micro 355 covers every base I need it to. My Micro 335 also does for that matter. The Bulldog is heavier, and more expensive, but that doesn't mean that I won't try one as soon as I can get one in stock.

Re: Micro 355 vs bulldog 400
Being a new owner of a Micro 355 and not having seen a Bulldog yet (I don't think there are many "out there") so I can only speak to the compactness and overall impression I have of the 355.
I am by no means a died in the wool crossbow owner because this is my first but I can say that each time I pick it up I like it more and more. To me and others I'm sure, these Micros are a work of art all while being a deadly, fast, accurate, weapon.
I hope people that know more than I about them both will chime in.
I was closely eyeballing the 400 too (online only) and there are not too many real world reviews yet but there will be soon I'm sure. I happened to fall into the Micro 355 while at my compound dealer trading in my compound and when I picked it up and fired it for the first time I literally shot 2 bulls eyes out of the box with no sight in or anything. I can't say enough about the quality and appearance either...it's a beautiful little thing.
I don't think you can go wrong with any Excalibur due to the great reputation they have. Go out and shoot one and I think you'll be sold.

I'm going to sit back & see what these do in the off season, and next hunting season. I think the Matrix Series 330 & 355 are the best around currently with Trigger Tech Triggers installed, and the old Mag Tip bows, any one of them are the top of the heap for reliability.
It’s not the way you rock, it’s the way that you roll!
Re: Micro 355 vs bulldog 400
I have a 335 micro and i still love the thing more every time i pick it up. I also have a light TT installed.
Bulldog will be my next bow. Its fast much better balanced then the 405 was, but not as well balanced as a Micro.
The triggers in the new bows are amazing out of the box. The Bulldog i shot at the ATA surprised the heck out of me at how good and light the trigger pull was.
If you want a small bow that literally will amaze you every time you pick it up go with the Micro. If you want some more power, put the dog in your kennel. Both are Nice bows about the same to cock, micro a little easier with the short stroke.

Yep I agree just a matter of time...
Norm I am back @ the Gym. Strength training 3x per week & cardio in between. Got to be in shape to hear that string click in the trigger...
