2016 Micro 355 Question

Post by paulaboutform »

Are the new swept back risers on the 2016 models fully interchangeable with the original straight risers?

I'm looking for a gen II micro riser as well. Before I decide which bow I have to sell(still deciding on the 335 or 355), if I work up the balls I'm going to bolt it to the 355 for a shot.

OK guys from my Chrony testing over the last week I have pretty much figured out that with the new riser, an honest but conservative number to work with is an average of 13.5fps/.5" of rail.

As well, most guys are reporting mid 345's from their Gen I'd. Similarly outfitted I'm seeing around 331. So again a difference of 13/14 fps for the old to new riser.

So if a fella were to take the starting point 345(or so) and add 13.5fps/.5" onto a 355. It's not out of the realm of reality to see 370 plus out of it.

Only real variable I cant personally account for is what increase per inch a GenI riser is good for.

It's my understanding that the Micro 315 rail is the same length as the gen1 Micro 335 rail. (Is that correct?) Can anyone tell me the length of the gen2 Micro 335 rail compared to the gen1 Micro 335 rail? Obviously it must be a bit longer... a half inch?

Thanks,
~E

yes gen 1 335 rail is the same as gen 2 315 rail.
I am not sure of the exact difference in length between gen 1&2 335s though.
