Help with Hawke Xb30 pro Sr

Post by Trentco1 »

I just purchased a new Hawke Xb30 pro for my micro 355.
Last night I put it on my bow including my new trigger tech trigger system.
Today I followed the instructions to sight it in
10 yards get it close. zero in at 20 yards. 30 yards move the speed ring to make it good. 40 yards it was bang on. but 60yrd it was 5" hight.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Cheers an thanks
Trent

I zeroed mine at 20 first then moved to 40 yards and used the power/sped ring only to fine tune it at 40 - you don't use the turrets. Then it was bang on at 20-30-40-50-60 and 3" low at 70-80-90-100, that I can live with as not very likely I'll be shooting game at those ranges.

That was the first set-up I tried, figured then I should follow the instructions. but My second third and fourth set up is still 5"is high.
Confused ?

1. Shoot off a good rest or bench. 2. Use one arrow only . 3. Make sure to orientate arrow to same cock vane every shot. 4 . Make sure all screws are tight . (just in case you haven't tried all of this yet) :?:

If 60 yards is what your maximum distance will be, you need a tall target, a bench rest, or shooting sticks. Zero the scope at 20 yards dead on using the scope adjustment. Move the TALL target to 60 yards, now put a dot near the top of the TALL target, and shoot at that top dot using the 20 yard chevron knowing the arrow will be about 36" low perhaps. Now set the 20 mark on that top dot and hold on it, zoom your scope until the 60 yard marker is the arrow, and the 20 is still on that top dot, your set! Now shoot at the 60 using the 60, and you should be right there. Shoot out back to 20 yards without touching the zoom, and you should line up at 50, 40, 30, and 20 yards. Don't pay any attention to what the speed dial or zoom say, just remember the setting to keep all your markers lined up.
