Crossbow Hunting

Here is a kinda side view of the Miller quiver mount. So far I really like it. However, with the factory sights I do have to put the point end of the bolt through the hole between the sight and quiver bracket. Nothing wrong with that. I picked up a quiver bracket to mount to my climbing stand. Hope this helps.

Is that like a back quiver? Where do you get those? I'm not real happy with all that stuff hanging on the bow when still hunting. I really wouldn't like anything on top of it. When in the stand, it's off but I'd like a little basic "hopper" type I could attach to my ever present back pack and reach the bolts quickly.

I'm happy with the Excalibur bracket & quiver myself. It's not in the way for me & bolts are easy to get to.

Me too, but I added a little bonus. I bought a spare bracket and bolted it to my treestand. Now the quiver comes off the bow and clips right onto my climber.

I prefer to go without a quiver altogether, especially while still hunting. It adds weight, torques the bow to the side a bit, makes the crossbow more visable and increases the noise one might make while walking through the woods.

The way I see it one shot is, hopefully, all I need. After the first shot I would give the deer at least 30 minutes before I go in search of it, which gives me time to go back to my vehicle(or canoe) and get another arrow and quiver. If I was to spine an animal and a second shot would be needed to finish of the animal I would be SOL, that is one scenario where the quiver and additional arrows would be an asset. Otherwise I'll go without.

Looks like I touched on a hot topic. I'll let you know what my favorite is once I finish getting my bow setup.

Good idea.. My problem is I don't use climbers and have 7 or 8 stands in the woods at one time. I would hate to buy a bracket for each stand.

I have a little hook on mine and I just hang it on the chain of my loc-on style treestand.

What was the total cost of the mount after the government got through with it in CDN $$$$?
It cost me $25 USD for the bracket and a Bohning quiver plus shipping. It came through the mail, not by courier, and there were no duties or extra fees that had to be paid.

If you want to use a sling, I think that this is the most practical way to attach a quiver.
