mreyner wrote:As I too have never heard of Boofest do have a couple of questions. Not to be a prude but as a recovered alcoholic (28 years clean) don't mind drinking but have a very hard time with "drunks" sorry about that, its how I cope. Is there a cost, does one stay in Toronto or are there also other places closer? Any information would be grateful.
As others have said - there are many who don't indulge in alcoholic beverages, even though it's typically a very warm weekend.
I have been to every Boofest and no one gets stupid with the booze. It's very much a fun, friendly, family atmosphere (more so than many actual family gatherings! LOL)
As for silly antics - lots of those, with no booze required! No apologies for that!
Looking forward to meeting you at BooFest 2017!

Got it penciled in. Hopefully wife doesn't not have another tail spin. Been a tough 3 years doing anything. Can only go as far as the oxygen cord will reach.
I would like to attend Boofest 2017, we will see how work is looking closer to the date. I have some questions though. We would probably want to camp out in the field and just hang out. Is there a concern over enough room. When do you need to know we would be coming? We back pack some so we are pretty well prepared for this. I would probably come up I-95 to I-81 and come South from Kingston. What kind of things do I need to know about when transporting my bow through the North Eastern states that sometimes have Draconian laws?
Actually after mapping it, it wants to send me up through Pittsburgh, Buffalo & Hamilton; 13 hrs or so...
