stirrup

Post by schott »

with everybody trying to quiet the stirrup by wrapping it or rubber dipping it, wouldn't it be nice if Excalibur made some kind of quick release for the stirrup so once you cocked your bow you could quickly remove the stirrup and put it in your pack. since it serves no other purpose than to cock and un-cock your bow plus it would reduce a little weight with it removed

A 5 gram Allen wrench and a few seconds will work just as easy.

There was a post a while back where someone had used a length of heavy climbing rope ...I think this was to gain broadhead clearance but it would surely silence the stirrup too. It looked nice in the pics.

For me, noise it just something I got used to...Just NO way to make them silent, so no point in even trying to get a few db's less with a bunch of weight increasing add-on's

I am sure that if I removed my stirrup it would be lost immediately!!

The sturip comes in handy while hunting out of my ground blind, I rest my bow between my legs with the stirrup down, without it the Brodhead will be sticking in the dirt. It also comes in handy in a tree stand, I use it to hang your bow out of the way while rattling, eating your lunch or, peeing on squirrels.

Why have another piece to stash someplace when its not attached? loose it on your travels then what?
i want my broadhead protected.... stirrup where it belongs when i need it.... and somthing to lean the bow on or hang with other then the riser or limbs.

I think a big concern would be knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt it is fool proof. It was ever reattached wrong, you could be eating crossbow and god forbid it was at the top of the draw during cocking!

I think it's probably more of a safety issue.
