Late night impulse

Post by canoe13 »

For some years now I have been an avid Excalibur owner but I have a confession to make. Last week while checking out Ebay late one night I made a rash impulse purchase. Oh the disgrace I have brought to my family name! I bought a wheelie crossbow. I don't know what the heck came over me. My only saving grace is my temptress/ tormentor was a really cheap Stryker Offspring. I was taken in by that ,oh so curvy, yet familar buttstock
And the her strong yet beautiful frame. Plus she was priced so low! Please don't take away my membership card. I promise not to ever do it again(fingers crossed).

P.S. I have yet to shoot it.
Need to go to local dealer to order missing hardware
to put bow together.
She promises good things , time will tell.

LOL! I bet all of us have had compound crossbows. There is nothing wrong with them. I like them too, but we all know the simplicity of the recurve makes it more user friendly and less likely to fail.
Still lovin' my EXCALIBUR MICRO 355! :-)

They are great bows, very underrated and undervalued as well.
You'll have great bow! Congratulations!

I never had a compound crossbow but that's about to change.. :)
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

I have a striker offspring that l put a micro stock on .lts been very reliable and rocks in a blind. l hate to say it but l like it better than my micro.problem is l lent it to my brother and havnt seen it in a while lol. I will always like the recurve excals but there is nothing wrong with dipping into the dark side. Now do l think the offspring will outlast my recurves. .....no i dont think so . Ohh l forgot to mention how quiet it is.

I started with an old Horton, then a couple of Barnetts, and a TenPoint. Then I saw the error of my ways and got hooked on Excaliburs. Have had 7 different ones so far.

That's what was appealing about the offspring being basically half of a matrix was why i bought it.

Oh the error of your ways...
I don't understand how anyone could stoop so low.
Just like biting into a piece of rich creamy cheesecake, once you start you won't be able to quit.
Repent and send it to me before you are tempted to shoot it.
It's the least I can do to keep someone from stumbling.

New York would be a nice relaxing drive from Wisconsin, and it would save you postage.

Truthfully, I hope it brings you much joy
