Replacement Cocking Rope
Found a great replacement cocking/crank rope. It is Samson Amsteel 7/64" Dyneema Fiber 1600 lb. strength. 37 feet for $13.99 tmd. From Columbia Basin Knot Co. in Washington State, email, [email protected] and on E-Bay, where I got mine. Only had blue but ok by me no UV glow. Sorry can't figure how to resize photo for posting. For information this is the "rope" only no hooks.

Re: Replacement Cocking Rope
Ropes at wal-mart are cheap like 5 bucks ,I use Paracord.....
Re: Replacement Cocking Rope
I agree para cord is great. Breaking strength is only about 550 lbs though.
Re: Replacement Cocking Rope
Small engine rewind starter rope....much stronger and tougher than paracord and reasonably priced in small quantities.

Not knocking your idea just cheaper at wal-mart for paracord ..
Also the lawnmower rope as stated is even stronger than paracord..

Re: Replacement Cocking Rope
By the time my rope wears out i figure the plastic around the pulleys is worn and its time for another lm not rich but when you have a 900 plus dollar crosbow whats another twenty five bucks.

Re: Replacement Cocking Rope
Consider getting the Dr Stirrup cocker. Much easier to use.
Re: Replacement Cocking Rope
I don not reccomend using paracord.... there are much better options and it really is cheap insurance.
