Same here. My 350LE has a great trigger, never measured but it feels lighter than most of my rifles lol

Looks like this topic is about a year old, but I wanted to post up as a new Matrix 350 SE owner. I just picked one up and it's waiting for me at the local FedEx store when I get back in town. I'm looking forward to sighting it in and getting out in Virginia Archery season. I'm moving up from a Carbon Express 350 that was my starter bow last year. This is only my second season as a bow hunter and although I didn't get any deer until rifle season last year (saw plenty 40-60 yards away and couldn't take a shot with my crossbow) I really enjoyed the thrill of the close hunt. I'm hopeful to be more successful this year.

Anyways, I really liked the Excaliburs and I was looking at getting either a Matrix 335 or 355 when I stumbled upon the 350 SE. This site gave me great confidence that the 350 SE would be a great choice. I also picked up the Guarduan ADF and the R.E.D.S.

The 350SE is an excellent choice for a bow. I just picked one up recently to be my backup to the 355. But with multiple kids hunting now, I'm sure it won't be a closet queen. Mine had the REDS already, so I only needed to add the ADF.

A backup to the 355?
Hmmm. It shoots faster assuming we are talking the Matrix 355. I do believe the 355 should be the backup. :)

It might! My speed string from Vixenmaster just got delivered today (or so says USPS tracking). Once I can chrony it with the same string as the 355, it may become the primary and the 355 the secondary.

Everyone seems to like the 350. Does anyone have fps results from a chronograph?

I'm hoping to have numbers soon on my 3 bows, but "soon" may still be a couple of weeks. I need to determine if the 350 is faster than my 355 so I will know which bow will be my primary. I tested my chronograph this last weekend with my pellet gun just to make sure it was still working. But that is as far as I got.

I'm curious to see what numbers people are getting with their 350's. I haven't chronoed mine, but the speed ring on the scope is just a hair under 340 with a 400 grain BEE.

Because you guys wanted to know, and more importantly that I wanted to know which bow was my "best", I endured 91 degree weather and an unusually high volume of mosquitos to get some fps numbers. I used the same bolt (stock Diablo 18" w/150g field point), but I only shot it once. If I was an endorsed professional, there would have been more combinations and multiple shots done. Oh yeah, and I only had 45 minutes until the wife returned from her errands and I'm pretty sure she can count to three and know that is more than the two she knows I own.

The Sapphire with Mike's 24-strand speed string did 277fps
The Matrix 355 with Mike's 36-strand durable string did 319fps
The Matrix 350 with the stock green string did 338fps

Cool, right? Doesn't tell you much, they all used different strings. Out came the stringer and one of my new 26-strand speed string from Mike. Same string on both bows, now we're getting to the meat of the post.

Matrix 355 equipped with full Dr Stirrup kit (silences & stirrup) did 322fps
Matrix 350 (a stock bow) did 337fps

The Matrix 350 is going to get all of my 355 goodies on it and become my primary bow!

I've read that the 350 was faster than a 355, but I didn't think it was going to be 15fps faster. Especially since it starts out 5fps slower from the marketing information. I'm also happy to see that there isn't much fps difference between the 26 and 36 strand strings from Mike.

I do not have a chronograph but Swamp Donkey put his through one when he received it using the supplied arrows with a 100 grain head to get 350 grains and he clocked in at 363 fps if memory serves me right.

Ya'll have me wondering also about mine I may put mine through the chrono this weekend. I need to weigh my arrows anyway since I switched to a 30 grain insert and a 170 grain broadhead last year. I love the 350 its definitely a shooter for sure, but the difference in speed between the 355 and 350 won't be enough difference to hardly even show up out to 40 yards.
