Pipsqueak Has Spoken !

Post by vixenmaster »

At 7:21 am a Doe came slippin thru the trees, had to wait abit before she got into an openin fer a shot. I shot her in the right shoulder abit high usin a 2219 n a Torrid SS 85 gr B-Head. The red luminok lit up on its way n shot looked good to me. It was 22 yds n i did hit couple inches higher than i had hoped fer, bein sighted in fer 25 yds. I heard the crash n kickin fer a few seconds n then quiet. I called my Mrs. told her tell my girls Dead Deer n let them out. I had gotten down n recovered my arrow but wid my eyes it was real hard to see the blood in that dim light. The girls showed up n 5-8 seconds they had the deer. Then because my old 3 wheeler is in the shop as it would not fire up about 2 weeks ago. So i came home got a rope n it took me a long time to drag her abit over a 1/4 mile. I got the shakes now n tryin to rest after that set to. Will make pic's n post abit later after i get her skint n bagged

Congrats on getting some venison Mike, I'm still working on it! Take care, and take your time if you need to drag, having the shakes after dragging tells me you need to slow down a bit, I know I sure have when it comes to dragging.

Dragging a deer is hard work but very satisfying! I expect killing a deer with a bow you made major modifications to is equally satisfying. Congratulations!
