Ghost Blind Review

OK, only used it once, but I must say I'm impressed. No, I did not kill a deer with my .44 magnum carbine, but could have killed two small bucks, and one bruiser, except he was on the neighboring farmer's land, and I don't want to make enemies here. I let them all walk hoping for a doe, or large buck to come in on our side of the property. One small 6 pointer stopped 7 yards away sniffing the wind. Very exciting way to hunt! Here is my honest take on this, setup is like 3 minutes, total! Comfort level is top mark. Being undetected is remarkable if you play the wind right. I'm going to use this more, and more going forward for these reasons, it works, it's quick, and light, and being able to move around behind it is very easy without getting busted.
Here is a pic. of the back side to show just how comfortable I was, and then 7 yards away at the front. I like!

Thats the way l feel dan. Its just another tool in the hunters toolbox.lm not going to abandon my treestands but there have been places where this thing just shines. I like putting a barrier behind me so we can rule out that
Direction. It looks like you did that. With the barrier and the wind right it does rock.glad you like it l will be in mine on monday afternoon. In a narrow funnel with a river on one side and deadfalls to my back....no climbable trees to speak of.

Yep, set it up just like you said, trees behind me, wind from right to left into the field. It was the perfect setup.

Other than no roof, it is paramount to any ground blind I ever used! Bob, once you set it up for the first time, you'll be hooked!

I'm guessing here- I kind of thought that the room needed for the Excalibur's limbs might come into play, with the small shooting slots/ windows.

the angles look pretty tight, from the pictures. Looks easy to use any rifle, pistol , because you can use the slot/window as a rest.

Most the places we hunt here in Arizona , carrying blinds, stands, chairs in and out , isn't as easy. Not to mention the back pack full of stuff - optics food - water -etc-needed to sit or scout all day and or tools/ equipment to debone and pack out an animal. 1 in 20 successful hunts might be close enough to a road or trail to drag an animal out. I know lots of guys who pack in camps , several miles into remote canyons, to hunt away from crowds.

Meaning a lot of time spent scouting and hunting , is hiking up and down Mtns, ravines just trying to get a spot to sit and glass , in hopes of even spotting a deer.

I like the idea -To be honest , I do not know of any hunter here who uses one!

I can see one being handy for elk or antelope sitting a waterhole- I may have to buy one and rent it out to other hunters, who were successful drawing a tag

I think this would shine in an environment like that. It is pitched down to reflect about 7 yards out front of it's setup. It's lighter than any other ground blind & pack that I have ever tried, and the pack you get with the kit is very well thought out in terms of packing in your chair, and backpack. I'm a big fan now!

It's on my list of must haves. Me and trees don't get along and my knees are getting worn out so I think this might be the ticket for a worn down walk and stalker like me. Thanks for the review.
