Guardian ADF Screws

Post by ko4nrbs »

I ordered a Guardian ADF for my Exomax and thought I would replace the screws while I am at it. I searched here on the forum and couldn't find out what size they are. Anyone know what size they are?

I have some stainless steel screws, I had to order 100 a few years ago, and should have some in my tackle box. Pm your address, I'll mail you some.

They are 8/32 . 1/4" long is too short, 3/8" long is too long. Try to find some 5/16" long and you are good to go.

Are torx screws made out of 18/8 stainless strong enough or to strong. Don't want to break them or strip them while installing. Thought about buying some for 4 different excals.

Installed the Guardian ADF on the Exomax this evening. The original scope mount screws came out ok using the allen wrench included with the Guardian ADF. I used the new screws that came with the Guardian and they were no problem to tighten up using the allen wrench that came with them. Will keep all the screws I have now just in case.

Got the Twlight DLX remounted and will shoot it some tomorrow to verify the POI. Resuming hunting on Monday.

Now piece of mind!! No more dry fires.

My POI did not change after replacing the stock scope mount with the Guardian ADF. Had to reposition one of the scope rings as well. Shot the bow over 30 times. Very happy that nothing changed after installing the Guardian.

Nice working with quality equipment!!

I have looked into buying either the kit or individual screws from Ti64, and nowhere do they mention 5/16 length. Wondering if I need 5/16 or 1/4 inch.
