Best $1.00 I've spent in a long time

Post by GrassyKnoll »

I bought a bunch of those Chinadermics ( Rage Hypodermics )off of eBay to try out. They were 19.99 for twenty heads and free shipping. When they arrived, they weren't the sharpest of blades but a few strokes on a ceramic stone and they were hair popping sharp. They fly to the same POI as my Slick Trick 100 standards. Great and at basically a buck a piece, why not...

Shot this doe yesterday morning at 17 yards from my ground blind and recovered her 50 yards away... The head held up very well. One blade was slightly bent, the other blade is fine and the ferrule is still straight.. The arrow passes through her and was 20 yards beyond where she was shot...

Used my 380 Blackout to get the job done..... Love my Matrix series of bows... :)

Cant beat that! At a buck a pop, even if "one and done", oh well. Nice score.

They are knock off's of the Rage Hypodermics that were selling on the auction site, and apparently they got pulled recently because I can't find them there now but they are now on the "A" site.

1. They are spot on with my field points and Slick Trick 100 Magnums out to my max 50 yards. :)

2. The blades are not the sharpest :( but sharpen up very quickly on a ceramic stone to hair popping sharpness with about 5 strokes on each side. :D

3. The supplied black collars are junk and don't allow the arrow to spin clean :x , but ordered genuine black collars from Rage and these heads spin so clean there is no vibration to the arrow when spun tested on my finger tip. :D

4. The head survived the shot on the above deer with only one blade getting slightly bent. When I got home and cleaned up the arrow and head, replaced the collar and installed 1 new blade, the combo spun as true as before I shot the deer... 8)

5. The tip of the broadhead is very pointy, but not as needle prickly as the original Hypodermics but good enough.. :D

They are still on eBay. I posted a couple of links for a guy on a forum yesterday.
I have had no problems with the supplied black collars and even ordered a 100 extra of them. You must have got some old stock or something.

You are correct, I had checked yesterday and could not find them... It's possible the collars were old stock..

Now i'm well stocked for several seasons... :D
