Re: Is anyone out there using WOOD ARROWS ?
I shoot carbon bolts out of my M405. I would be afraid to try a wooden arrow not matter how dense; but if they work for your setup that's cool. I was just given 2 dozen Ben Pearson arrows with broadheads along with a wooden recurve. Plan to hang it on the wall or sell it, but not use it to hunt with.

Set of Malaysian Red Hardwood arrows. Weight 569 to 571 grains. Notice the larger front end, which I call "big foot". Helps add weight forward, great for superior penetration through bone. Front end creates a big hole and the rest of the shaft glides through with little contact. These arrows have been shot through the 335 Micro and also the new Micro Suppressor with very accurate results.

I have to say they are very good looking arrows. I'm still not that committed on my end to those, but again, damn good looking arrows!

I had my daughter blow these up on her computer to get a better look, well made. I would imagine a pretty hefty price as well even making them yourself. To say that I'm impressed with the workmanship would be an understatement.

Love to see a video of you shooting them. Sorry if this question is redundant, but are those tips glued on? If so you must have a whole different batch of arrows with broadheads for hunting?

It's too bad that you had your feelings apparently hurt on this forum. We are friendly here, and helpful to strangers. I guess most of us are attracted to the most modern components in archery.
It's too bad you hadn't been on here some years back. There was a fellow who made his own flint broadheads. They were amazing. You and he would have had something in common, and might have between the two of you, made genuine works of art. I would have loved to have a couple of such arrows--not for shooting--but for display.
I don't remember his handle and I haven't recently seen any posts that I would recognize as his.
Welcome, and feel free to show your pictures. I don't post my own because I don't know how. So, I can't help you there.

Re: Is anyone out there using WOOD ARROWS ?
As I stated earlier, there is tons of very specific information on strength and characteristics of the different woods. Unfortunately, the generic or common names will not work. Do you have the scientific/botanical name of the wood you are using? It would also be nice to know where it could be purchased.
