Trophy Rocks

Post by PublicLandHunter1 »

When do you plan on putting minerals such as Trophy Rocks out? The bucks should start losing their horns in our area. I was thinking about going out next Monday and starting the process of keeping minerals available until next fall. Thanks in advance, Don

I just use the cheap salt or mineral blocks I get from Atwoods. The deer really go after them and they are cheap so I keep the licks full all year.

spring is the time they start to use them. cant hurt putting it out early. in my area month of May through August sees the most visits.plain old solar salt from the big stores is the cheapest route. doubt youd grow antlers without genetics and nutrition. fancy minerals in a bag is nice but i think your just throwing away your money.

I use cattle minerals and salt tubs. Deer love them!

I got salt out yr. round on my property started with the white cattle blocks - then the brown mineral blocks - now I only use apple blocks

they need minerals/ salt even in the winter and know where to find it!
