LOL. I once knew a guy that had one of them. He swore by it as the best ever!

Hunting in suberbia has its advantages. .......l rarely have to drag one more than 200 yards. ...now lifting them up in the big tundra can be a problem. I usually get a soccer mom passing by to help me. One time a waste management "trash engineer" helped me lift a big buck up l gave him my deluxe italian hoagie l had for lunch ....because it was 9 am and l didnt need it anymore. ... because l would be home in bed at noon now taking a nap l would worry about lunch later.

This works for me. No way to get a tractor in where I hunt and no 4 wheelers are allowed either.

I like to use my Cabelas aluminum deer cart; it is light, don't rust, and wide enough not to tip over when going over uneven ground. I bought an ATV adapter last year from Amazon that allows me to attach it to my hitch on the ATV. No more lifting the deer up on the back rack so I can get to camp. I tired to get all the guys in camp to go in on the electric deer cart that is on the Internet but no one wants to drop that kind of cash. It even has an electric winch built in; all I need to go even further in the woods and not worry about how I am going to get the deer out without breaking my back.

I have a cabelas folding cart I bought many years ago on sale for $50 it is small but that is good because I put it in my car Sept 30th the day before Bow season opens and it stays their until my tags are filled, It works ok but has a tendency to come apart on its own once in a while , it pops the retaining clips I keep spare clips, washers and such taped to the frame and have needed them on more than one occasion.
getting the deer in the cart is not easy when you are alone and I tie them in because I have had the cart tip over before..
I also have used Little Tikes wagon that I bought to pull my kids in when they wear young it worked pretty well has 4 fat tires about 4 inches wide , the sides come off if you pull them straight up,.
The only negative is it does not go over logs well and is to big to keep in car all season, put it worked great easy to pull if you can find away around the windfalls,It has gotten a half dozen deer out for me before I bought the folding cart.
As far as ATV 4 wheeler go you can get past the lifting part by using a heavy duty snow sled pulled behind the atv snow or no snow .

Has worked out well for me and is easy to pull. I like not having extra equipment to mess with.

That's the primary reason I don't normally use a deer cart. Since my drag is less than 300 yards and mostly downhill, I just use the deer drag strap on my Hunter Safety System harness. The harness does a good job of distributing the weight to waist level so even a 200# buck isn't too much to drag a short distance. If its something I want to mount, I use a plastic sled instead that I keep stashed in the woods.

I've got a cart, but using it on the uneven terrain of the mountains is the stuff funny videos are made of. I have a cart on a deer more often than not.

One thing I found with many of the carts is the super strong petroleum smell from the wheels.

I have noticed it also but the dead deer have never complained.

Having a bad ticker my dragging days are long gone and the use of a cart is not much better. I am blessed to be allowed the hunt 80 acers of private land and allowed to use my atv to put stands in place and recover game. Once I get to the game I pull it to a tree, then hang a pulley in the tree with a sling, I run winch cable throw pulley to deer and lift the deer high enough to drive under it and load on front rack.

I too have the one like Robert's. $50 at Sportsmansguide. Works well enough.

I have also used an old kids plastic sled....the one that is just a piece of rolled up plastic/teflon type stuff? I put 4 grommets down each side and stick the deer in there and tie is shut. Works pretty well especially with no snow but the deer tends to slid around inside as well. Upsideis it's very light and portable

My cart lives in the bed of my truck from Sept. thru Mid Jan. every year during deer season and the wheels still smell a little. But it does not leave the bed of my truck until I have a dead deer to haul so it does not bother them in the least.

I use a wheelbarrow; the same one I use for gardening. It gets the job done.
