Well, i swapped out the riser & limbs from my Matrix 330 which I know gets advertised speeds, and I got 358 with a Flemish String, and 408 grain arrows. I ran 5 shots, 4 hit 358, one hit 359. With the math I have a 381 Matrix. I'm going to contact Peter next week, and see what the best option is.

Steve, I'm getting motivated to make at least one 350 grain arrow. I have a new string in the jig, and it's the same strand count, material, etc. I'll weigh it before installing it on the bow. Your 405 is still smokin fast!

Thanks, and I will after my camo blemished limbs arrive. After going through the check list of arrow weight, etc. I thought I should remove the Ex-Shox, and so I did. They weigh 276 grains each. I'm going to shoot again and see where I am now.

One thing is for sure Dan. That 380 set of limbs are not acceptable. But till you try others, or put your 330 limbs on the 380 riser it could also be a slight difference in the limb mounting (riser machining) as well?? Good Luck with the limbs, that would be the easier fix.

I can see the limbs being lower poundage causing slower speed, but the riser? I realize I've been out of the loop a bit but they change riser design on the 380 at some point?

Not that I'm aware of John, but it looks a little more square than my 330 riser. The limbs look less curved at the riser if that makes sense. Anyway, I'm stripping it down when my other limbs arrive, and going from there. I have some other parts coming as well, so it might be a week or three before doing anything more.
