Quiver on or off when hunting?

Post by ChrisK »

I noticed accuracy was pretty close with or without it on. Do you guys keep it on or take it off when you are hunting?

have never put them on my bows other than 25+ years ago and found them awkward for me when shooting so i carry a quiver that encloses my arrows. i only hunt from permant blinds though

I leave it on when I am walking but take it off when I am in a stand. The quiver gets in the way a little bit when I rest my bow on the shooting rail and I have to get down from the stand any way to re-cock my bow after i take a shot, so there's no reason to leave the quiver on.

I use a caldwell deadshot fieldpod the way I have to set the xbow on the rest the quiver bracket can not be there . I use a hip quiver instead I hunt from a blind close to 95%of the time .

On. You can change to some other broadhead or point if you need to for some reason with minimal movement.

Depends on the situation. I have been mostly leaving mine on since I bought a Danny Miller top mount

I use the Danny Miller quiver mount, and it is on when walking to blind, and remove when in blind.

Quiver off I like to keep the bow profile as small as can be.
I actually use a hip quiver I bought 30 years ago for my vertical bow hunting but it is attache to my portable home made hunting chair to and from stand then with the squeeze of a quick release buckle they are on the ground on my right hand side for access. The onl time I put a quiver on my bow is to sell it.

I hunt both ways with mine but I intend to buy a Munch Mount and then it will probably be left on.
