This is my favorite sling for bows and guns it is non slip ,very durable, comes in different colors and not any wider than it needs to be and not to stiff.

The CLAW is a great choice. you also may consider a small pack that cradles a crossbow. then you could use hiking sticks for better balance and less stress on your back.legs n arms going up hills. i have a new never used Gameplan Crossbow pack and new condition Claw sling for sale let me know.Image i will send you a PM

I have a Crossbow Buddy that I really haven’t tried yet and also a Slogan sling that is untested. So - I’m in the same boat as the yukonjack. I like the idea of the Crossbow Buddy but am not sure it will carry a cocked Excalibur very well. That remains to be seen.

I use a Slogan Outdoors sling. It can be split in two for a backpack carry. This is great for hiking in and out with your crossbow and you have both hands free. It is a tacky rubber material that won't slip off your shoulder even if you use it single like a conventional sling. This sling will also snug up tight on the bottom of the crossbow to stay out of the way when you don't need it. Loosen the buckle and put it on like a backback or wrap it around your arm for stabilizing the bow for shooting. Lifetime warranty also. www.sloganoutdoors.com

Here is a picture of Backpack, Shooting and Single......
