Post by Bcxbow »

Good luck to everyone this season. Our opener here in Georgia is September 8th and I'm getting anxious. Have fun and most importantly be safe.

It's gonna be too hot here but I will still be in a tree or blind in the evenings, not much movement in mornings yet.

If I waited until actual archery season, then it would be five weeks from tomorrow in Northern VA. But I can use my crossbow during the early anterless-only gun season that starts tomorrow. I'll be packing the boom stick tomorrow since I just completed defrosting the freezer and it is freshly empty and ready for service. I have the perfect place for the first thing that comes by without antlers or spots. I'm just hoping to stay dry, hydrated and not feed to many mosquitoes. It'll be mornings only this weekend. The afternoons will be well into the 80's which may limit movement.

Good luck to everyone this season. Be safe out there!

The two girls are in collage this year. We are going thru a painful "empty nest syndrome " so l pray to god its a long long season for me .with only 1 buck tag ,l might pass on a lot of bucks just to spend more time outdoors or its more flea markets and fall festivals with my wife ........l love her a lot but l would rather hunt.l spent all summer doing her stuff lts my time Lol. Good luck to all.

We start Sept 29th. I have a new blind built and the camera on. So far on the girls are coming in. The bucks are still together.

I just looked at the long range weather forecast for where I hunt (N.E. Missouri) and on our opening day (Sept 15) it projects a low of 45 and a high of 67. That will change many times before the day arrives but it would be an extraordinarily cool opener for us. Most of my preparation is done and I'll be out there 2 weeks from today.

Good luck to everybody and be safe!
