When we had sandy a few years back my woods were actually unrecognizable. So many trees down it was crazy. The deer really liked the added brouse and new hiding places. The mosquitos due to the standing water were a problem. Good luck to everyone in harms way.

Live in north carolina, looking at 12 inches of rain and 30 mph winds according to the weather people. Tomorrow may be my last trip to the deer stand for a while.

I’m around Greensboro, NC and hearing the same forecast as billnconnie: 12-inches rain, 30 mph wind.

Funny thing is, last month in the first three weeks of August we got 25-inches of rain! Granted, that was over three weeks, but I think 8.5” of it fell in just a few days.

NCHunterKW might get it worse in Raleigh. He’s closer to the coast.

Yesterday they were predicting 60mph winds here on Friday, but that may have changed as it now looks to track a little further south. Was gonna go this AM, but couldn't get ice for my coolers etc last night so I decided I didn't want to have to deal with processing a deer in the midst of everything else. Got the hatches battened down. Hopefully I will be able to watch some football this weekend. If not, be prepping my Vortex for sale.

The last I heard my Grandparents, Aunt and Uncle's and cousins are in the direct path of the storm in N.C. Last year we got a direct hit from Harvey and my house was wrecked but thankfully not as bad as some people. We are all fixed up now. My brother and I are praying for God's hedge of protection over our family and their community. We will pray for our crossbow friends too!
