Which way did it go?

Post by rattlerun »

My friend was hunting from a box blind and has his M380 on the window ledge zeroing in on a nice buck. As the buck walked to the right, my friend slowly moved his bow to the right. The deer stopped and my friend pulled the trigger. As you can guess, the right limb tip hit the right side of window frame. I heard the noise 150 yards away. Needless to say he missed, but the question I have, to look for the arrow, would we start off to the right or would the right limb hit send the arrow to the left?
What's your thoughts on this? Arrows are expensive and he would like to try to find it.

If you have a good "working dog" available you could train him in a matter of minutes to find your missing arrow.

A metal detector would help.

My guess would be it could be anywhere! I would be surprised if you even find it! Good luck

Fire up the Crystal Ball ... I'm still looking for an arrow I fired off through a turkey last fall.

I've noticed on more than one occasion that an abrupt stop can cause them to go out. So they are lit all the way to the point of stopping. I've had one skip down through the woods and was lit when I last saw it. I never did find it. I'm guessing it found the base of a tree somewhere and the hard stop jarred it off.

Good luck!

I think the arrow would be to the right. When the right limb hit, it would kick the right side back, so the arrow should be to the right.

If the jolt made the arrow jump out of the rail, it could be anywhere.
