Subdivision Buck Harvested

Post by ko4nrbs »

Saw him at about 7am. Had both deer decoys out and Tinks 69. He came in and froze when he saw the decoys under the feeder. The buck decoy pissed him off. He puffed up some and took two steps that offered me a slightly quartering shot. Arrow hit him low just alongside his front leg and exited just above the diaphragm. The 100 grain Torrid SS broad head made mince meat of his lungs.

He was standing a few feet from the edge of my buddy's backyard!!

Love my Exomax, deer decoys and Ameristep Doghouse ground blind.

Thanks everyone!!

Here he is on camera:

Glad he chose to head my way with enough light to shoot. It was a pass through and he ran about 20 to 25 yards before collapsing.

Corridors sometimes can pay off if you re there at the right time. It's funny that I was so close to I44 that sometimes the cars and trucks lights blind me when looking through the scope. This time there was light traffic.
