The mystery ghostblind miss explained today
[url=https://postimg.cc/hz55RPrF]
I kinda didn't tell the truth the other nite that when l got my buck l actually mmmmissed a nice buck moments before .. l heard a loud dryfire ish sound but the bolt was seen ping ponging off trees so l was thinking the super freak broadhead opened ...maby didn't have the bolt in all the way....well anyway another bigger buck comes in to the decoy and l dropped him... packed and folded the ghosblind and gutted the deer etc. Yes the miss has bugged me .Today was a non hunting day and l decided to wash the ghosblind with soap n water and l found out that l was the culprit.... oh well at least l truly know what really happened....lt all worked out in the end with a bigger buck to boot .. A little spiral bit dremel work and now it's gone. I opened the shooting ports a little bit like l should have done before.

Re: The mystery ghostblind miss explained today
I have done that with brush blinds having the arrow hit a limb or twig and watch the arrow go bye bye . Added insult watching the deer look around to figure out what happened !

Re: The mystery ghostblind miss explained today
Joe, was that from the arrow or a limb tip hitting it? Just curious .

It was the broadhead ....looking thru the scope and tracking a walking deer l don't really have any limb clearance issues even with the exo bows they are kinda away a bit. It's really not any harder shooting out of the ghosblind than a cloth blind. Actually easier with the shooting slots .More like the excited little kid in me coming out and forgetting the clearance.

Did the same thing while turkey hunting. shot a triple hole in my double bull one day . couldn't figure why I missed that bird until I got looking around.

You can shoot thru the mesh.... but not a ghost blind .longbow joe wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 7:16 pmIt was the broadhead ....looking thru the scope and tracking a walking deer l don't really have any limb clearance issues even with the exo bows they are kinda away a bit. I cut my shooting “lanes” wider on my ghost blind for that very reason! Is your blind getting cloudy at all from light scratches from the mirrored surfaces rubbing together? I’m on my third season and use it a lot.

Re: The mystery ghostblind miss explained today
2 years of off n on use.Some minor scratches. I treat it like a pair of plastic sun glasses only clean when damp.
This season I really got my money's worth honestly if it fell apart l feel like l got my money's worth already. I think it's got a few seasons left in it as long as l don't keep shooting it. One of the best hunting products l have purchased. Next to a climbing tree stand in the must have catagory. I got a lot a tree stand years in me l hope but lf someone is stuck on the ground it's not the end of the world. I was "stretching the border " of a hunting property we have and a security guard walked right past me one time .l really got a kick out of it .hiding in plain sight Lol.
