Scope Suggestions?

Post by Big Woods »

Looking to upgrade my scope. I like the Nikon Bolt as it has good reviews and appears compact but the lack of a speed dial (and to a lesser degree lack of illumination) is kind of a deal breaker. Does anyone have any suggestions for other scopes to consider?

Thank You!

Leupold VXR or Leupold Mark AR are my preferred scopes. :)

Hawke XB30 SR Pro. Has everything you want - speed ring and illuminated reticle (which i love). Comes in very handy if you go after game with a dark brown or black hide, and obviously in low light.

Wish they still made the Compact Version, or that I had the foresight to collect a few when they were being produced.
VERY much liking my Hawke!

Whatever you buy, I suggest you be aware of the high cost of a cheap scope.

Jusabit of info, i have a Leupold Patrol it has the red dot n its a 1x4 30mm tube. Unless you have good eyes you cannot see the small hash marks in scope in darker timber or early mornin late afternoon. I have a Speed Comp530IR made by Hawke has red Ill. that lites up the 20-30-40-50 n 60 yds marks n i like it well

What scope do you have now?
I am happy with my Tact Zones on both my bows.
Sure there may be better scopes out there but they have never let me down.
I find they do everything i need until Maybe the very last light.
I have some fine scopes on my rifles.
I have not felt i have to upgrade.

From what I understand, these are Hawke scopes made for Trophy Ridge: SpeedComp XV530IR Crossbow Scope

I have 2 on my Scorpyds, and like them. I think I paid $114 for them off , vs $299 for a Hawke

Another reason I like Hawke is for the 1/2MOA adjustment versus the 2MOA adjustment of a Tact Zone. The bows are capable of much better than +/- 2MOA .
