New nikon bolt p3 replacement

Post by longbow joe »

Anyone know anything about the new nikon . p3 bolt replacement scope. I was ordering a bolt for my nephew and not in stock but this is the "upgrade " model. I punched in a zombie and specs on spot on all seemed same as a bolt on my 330.my guess is it probably has 40% more plastic?

Good find Joe, but I'm thinking the opposite. The turret caps and the eye piece are now aluminum. That's the only thing I don't like about my bolts, is the chinsey plastic turret caps with gold writing on them.

I like the Nikon bolt. It has much better glass.

Yep I can't use Hawke glass but that's just me.

The downside to the bolt is the lack of speed adjustable aiming points.

If Nikon had a crossbow scope with an illuminated reticle and speed adjustment they would dominate the crossbow scope market. :)

What else did you look at? My Excalibur that I bought came with a UTG scope on it. Thinking of eventually upgrading it for better glass but I prefer looking through a scope to see if it will meet what I am looking for. I looked through a Truglo and redfield here locally and those were suhweeet.....

Two bolts and a factory deadzone, which, are really good scopes for factory offerings. Once I figure out what I'm doing with the Banshee, it'll probably get a bolt as well.

I like to keep things all the same across the board.

Deadzone by Excal? They don't seem to make the bolts anymore from what I have seen or they are hard to come by.

They are now under the P linup. I'm just learning this the other day as well. But if the changes are what suggested and the price is the same, that's a big win in my eyes.
Best part about the bolt is the 11OZ it weights.

So you are saying this model replaced the bolt then? https://www.amazon.com/NIKW9-Prostaff-Crossbow-3x32-Matte/dp/B07FNQSVVR/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1543882453&sr=8-3&keywords=nikon+bolt+xr+crossbow+scope
