Dr.Stirrup on Assassin

Post by BigOLayne »

I was going to purchase a Dr.stirrup for my Assassin but couldn't find any information on if it would work. I checked with some of the retailers but they didn't have an answer either.
I decided to check with Dr.Stirrup directly and sent an email on Sunday morning and 15 minutes later I received a reply. Not only does it fit with the Assassin there is a shim that is used; it isn't on their website yet but it is available.
What was really incredible was the email was answered by Gaston Houle; President of the company and how receptive he was. We don't get that kind of treatment in MA often.

Awesome experience

Update:

Well, UPS has lost the package in Canada! Gaston and I have been in touch with UPS trying to figure out where it is; they show him it's in the US and show me it's still in CA.
Still waiting but dealing with Gaston as been a breeze; made the best of a bad situation. Will post a photo once it gets to me...

It will probably show up. I had a package shipped by UPS from Texas to Florida disappear for 10 days and then finally show up. Never saw an update on shipping as to where it had been.

PS: I too have the Assassin (which I love)....I might consider putting the DrStirrup on my Assassin but would like to speak to Gaston in person at Boofest 2019!

What's a Dr Stirrup that you're putting on your Assassin?

.....after a season of shooting with the Assassin, which may I add I do love, I have decided against adding a Dr.Stirrup Stirrup to my Assassin...

....the reason for my decision is that the built in crank works so well that one of the DrS advantages is rendered, "not needed" and that is to aid in the cocking process....I also like the over sized stirrup as provided by Excalibur....

....with that being said, let the minutes duly reflect however, that my Assassin is adorned with two Dr Stirrup necessities (in my book); the dbKiller Bumpers of which I believe is far superior than the OEM provided bumpers and the ArroLok Quiver, alas another ingeniously engineered DrS product....the Bumpers appear to be made of a far superior rubber and will not split upon repeated beating by the string....the quiver providing superior protection to the broadhead and allowing for ease of removal and insertion of arrow within the quiver...and it is adjustable, allows for axis rotation on the CB and has the added feature of accessorizing with a "hip" bracket to make the quiver a "hip quiver"....also comes in a 3 arra or 5 arra model (no this is not paid advertisement...it's just true....)

....with the above stated and recorded in the minutes I do want to say I will miss one feature of having the Dr.Stirrup Stirrup on my Assassin and that is the ability to have my bow stand up on the stirrup itself....
