Micro 335 Gen 1 question
My question is I have owned the Micro 335 when it first came out. I use manly for Deer hunting. I have also used for Spring Turkey. I shoot it occasionally during off season. I would say less then 300 + shots fired thru it. I have changed the string once. I have never unstrung when not hunting. Reading some of the issues with the limbs was wondering have I been lucky. Some guys say they unstring them when not using them. What is everyone's opinion should I leave well enough alone.

Literally, just keep the brace adjusted and shoot away. You've got a great tool there

Leave it strung year round... Enjoy, from gen1 to gen3 they have tweaked the limbs and set-up to fix the limb issue... Don't worry, if you ever have a issue Excalibur will make it right.

My son in law has had his for about 4 years now with the same set of limbs. He leaves his strung all year also.

Re: Micro 335 Gen 1 question
I bought a Nightmare on the very first production run before they really released them (DEC 204, I think) I kept it strung up all the time and shoot it all year around...but less so in the summer. Last summer I went on a bear hunt in Quebec and had a limb go. Older limbs, had some stress on them from different mishaps over the years. That in combination of them being cocked for 8+ hours everyday during the hunt is what I think did them in. SO I'd say keep it strung, shoot away, but get a backup set as insurance. In my case I lost 1 hunt, but not a whole trip. Just put on my backups, and was out the next day, and killed a bear a day after that.

Thanks guys for your info. I love this Xbow and it has done me right using it. My first Excalibur was a Vortex and I enjoyed that Xbow. Like the size of the Micro in a tree and blind.

Those are the two bows I wish I held on to, the Gen 1 335 Micro, and my Vortex! Damn good bows regardless of any issues you might have. I ain't complaining about what I got now, but those two were worth their weight in gold.

Re: Micro 335 Gen 1 question
True Keith, I do want one! I have a lot or irons in the fire right now or I would be jumping on it. Gotta get things sorted out on what we're going to do long term since the health issues of late.nchunterkw wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 4:45 pmGreat minds....I too started with a Vortex then on to the Gen1 Micro!
