storage

Post by Philip W. »

Hey guys,

Now that the season is pretty much over for me (only one weekend left and I can't hunt it) here in Georgia, I was wondering about storage.

My wife doesn't want to see anything camoflage for a while. Thought I would put the ExoMax up in the closet until a little later.

What would you do to store it for a while?

I was thinking about taking off the string (waxing it first) and using a clothes hanger pin to keep it at the correct length. I guess I need to take of the dbar pads as well.

What else?

You should take off the dissipator bars, otherwise you will squash the pads!
Not sure what you meant about the string, I would just package it and the next time you use it set your deck height accordingly, I think it might be tough to keep it stretched to the correct length unless it is on your bow, I hope I read that correctly!
Enjoy the Harvest!

  Take the pads out...no need to remove the disipator bars completely & unstring it...give it a long tender caress & say good bye to it until next season & then put it to bed in a cool dry place!!!!!!!!  Brampton Mike 8)
If I can't hunt & fish in heaven....then I don't want to go!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys.

Ya'll are going to get me in trouble with that carressing thing. She already found me rubbing that arrow I put through that doe earlier this season. She walked in on my while I was muttering something about mounting first crossbow kill arrow. She got real disgusted when I asked her what to spray on the arrow to preserve the crimson stains.
