My 1st bow killed turkey

Post by robertyb »

I had taken 2 of my 3 limit on birds earlier this month with a shotgun so I decided to try to get one with a bow. I almost took my Scorpyd DS 420 but decided to take one of my Excaliburs instead so I grabbed my Matrix 330 that just had a new string installed that was twisted up by Boo. (Great string as usual Don, thanks)
I set up in a Double Bull Matrix blind in a plot with a hen decoy at 10 yards

I had 2 birds come in and as they approached the decoy the wind hit the decoy making it spin and they ran back towards the woods so I ended up having to take a back shot and this was the result.

Awsome now the shotgun is going to be boring. It's a nice bird with the head intact makes a great photo. Congrats l was gonna poke fun of the black bow. But just a small jab ...lol your gonna be smiling for days after this ..

That has become quite hard for me at age 69 I find I can't sit at the base of a tree for a couple of hours as I used to plus I am almost deaf now and can't hear a gobbler gobble until he is right on top of me. Getting old makes turkey hunting a lot harder to do but I managed these three this month.
