Greetings from New Brunswick, Canada

Post by Stepnoutnb »

Well here I am, turning 62 next month and what did I do? I will be receiving this: https://www.cabelas.ca/product/86390/cabelas-exclusive-excalibur-micro-355-crossbow-package
The Cabelas.ca exclusive Excalibur Micro 355 $1299 marked down to $999 Canadian funds. Seemed like a no brainier for me, this package comes with the C2 crank, stringing aid, carrying case and I think a spare string.
I've been looking at Excalibur Xbows for several years and finally pulled the trigger so to speak. I've been hunting and fishing since I was 6 or 7. I'm looking forward to spending more time in the woods and on the water. I'm sure I'll have many questions, poor Dawn at Excalibur has been very patient with me so far. I do't even have the bow yet and have emailed her several times with questions.

Thanks for reading

Congrats on the Micro 355, great bow! My suggestion is for you to watch all the videos on use & care that you can. Even though your model might not be in the video, the principal is the same, so is the lingo. The folks here are very supportive of all models, and there is no shortage of knowledge, enjoy the new tool, and welcome aboard.

Well thanks to everyone for the great response. As suggested I have been watching and reading everything I can. It’s going to take a long time to figure it out but I’m sure I’ll get through it with everyone’s help.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum. Lots of knowledge here.
Don't know where you live in NB but I hope all is good for you as my daughter who lives in NB had to move out of her home due to flooding.
