Naming of A Crossbow?

Post by Stepnoutnb »

OK, I see many folks naming their crossbows. Why? Is this some unwritten law or practice from the past? Am I going to H3!! for not naming my Excalibur?

I think you'll be OK.
I name all my stuff, guns, cars, bows, etc. You just do it if you feel it I guess.

Suspect it will be a crowded place if considering what you say is true . But do not ever fear being alone as it could be a crowded place in fact overcrowded with diehard excalibur worshipers.

When considering the 10 commandments which usually determines your fate !!!

Excalibur Owners Commandments Violations List

1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
2. You shall not make idols.

(these two go hand in hand when it comes to excalibur worshipers as a whole.)

4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
( Sunday hunting in my area is only possible using archery equipment )

6. You shall not kill
(need I say more on this one)

9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
( always speaking ill against all other brands )

10. You shall not covet.
( always wanting for better with each new model release with an overwhelming passionate obession for more and quite envious of anyone who gets one first )

So I would say a 60 % failure rate to comply dooms us all to eternal damnation

So when it comes to naming your excalibur crossbow it is comes down to one saying.

"
Damned if you do and Damned if you don't"

In fact I just thought of new name for mine " The Antichrist"

:eusa-dance:

You folks are too funny!
I have a black Labrador named BooBoo. I have 2 granddaughters first born named Truly Anna, the second named Jersey Lynn.
My beautiful daughter wanted to call poor little Jersey Lynn.............Pixie Lee! THANK GOD MY SON-IN-LAW put his foot down and said no daughter of his was going to have a hooker’s name lol. Sorry to any ladies really named Pixie
So there I have the name for my Micro 355. She (yes she is a she) will now be “PIXIE” seems very fitting for a Micro!
Yes my little PIXIE sounds perfect.
Why do I call her a she. I am surrounded by females ........ yes I love them all. Wife, daughter, 2 granddaughters, BooBoo the Labrador and 5 laying hens and now my little PIXIE!I am drowning in the oestrogen ocean.

They come with names. We have an Axiom and a 380. I never thought to call them something else. I think naming cars, guns or even crossbows is old fashioned stuff. Like in the old movies where a car is Old Betsy or Ole Reliable or something. The names are funny though!

I bought my bow to hunt the neighborhood problem bear that killed my goat last year. I named my bow “Bear Killing Machine”. (Haven’t seen the bear yet this spring. If he doesn’t come this spring, he’ll be here in the fall.)

This is the only one I ever named, it was just a fun project Blackout 405 I built from assorted parts and it shot great right away, so I named it "The Punisher" (the decal fit well) (AND, oddly enough I just noticed that this is my 405th post!! Weird coincidence when talking about my 405!!)
