Rangefinder selection help
I am trying to find a rangefinder with extended eye relief of an inch or more with a remote button or at least scan mode. I have been thinking about trying to mount up a rangefinder to the bow instead of using a scope for both ranging and to aim on target. Once I find a suitable rangefinder I will need to come up with a way of mounting it and sighting it in for up and down and left to right. For different distances I was planning on mounting it onto an HHA Optimizer. This should then allow me to range and shoot with the same optic and I would not need to carry a separate rangefinder. Basically trying to recreate a much lower cost and lower magnification version of the Burris Laser Eliminator scope.

Re: Rangefinder selection help
Can`t say I can think of any with a longer eye relief .
Interesting thought though . I have been confused why Burris has not done that with their platform .
Mike you are going to have to find one with out the LCD screen .

I am using a Bresser RF on my Excalibur. I also bought a LE-032 not long ago but had problems with it and returned it.

Kevin,
Not sure why none of the rangefinder manufacturers have tried to come out with a low magnification version of the much more expensive Burris offering. It should not be too difficult to adapt one of the handheld versions to have windage and elevation adjustments and a picatinny rail mount. You are correct in that I will need to find one without the LCD screen which rules out the LE-032 and the Bresser RF offerings. Will have to keep looking.
