O/T New Propeller

Post by xcaliber »

I goobered up a propeller on my Regal a few days ago getting into some shallow beech water with lots of rocks. Anyway, it's a Volvo Penta SX drive, and a stainless prop to boot, I figured I would get it reworked, but needed a spare anyway. Walmart partners with other suppliers, and offers some Solas propellers for over $100. off. I got a $300. prop for $191 delivered!
This is just an FYI folks, happy fishing / boating fellas!

A picture of the new prop! Yep Joe, getting out is worth the price of a prop per season with all I have been through. Glad to get out some!

Took a few of the wife's friends out on the pontoon recently and of course they wanted to get in close to shore and check out gardens. sucked up a lot of muck and engine performance has dropped some. i'm hoping it's the prop. the prices you mention seem very reasonable.

Thanks folks. I want to do a lot more than I am able to right now. My daughter is getting married next Saturday, and I’m glad I’m here for her and able to walk her down the isle. My son in law and I are taking the boat out this afternoon with the ladies. I’ll let you know how the prop does!

Highly recommend Solas propeller for anyone looking for a good stainless prop. Just make sure you get the one that best fits your engine and hull design.
