BROAD HEAD EBAY WARNING- PURCHASING FROM CHINA!

Post by amythntr »

....I believe this has been brought up previously, but don't and I repeat DON'T purchase broad heads from CHINA :eusa-snooty: :eusa-hand: ....they are usually a fraction of the price of the authentic and usually show a picture of the real ones.....they steal images and they make them like crap....my oldest son had purchased TOXICS from China a few years ago....they were knockoffs, made like crap and were night and day garbage....I don't remember if he was able to get a refund?

....I felt this was worth repeating because I have noticed quite a few new names on this forum who might not be aware of what goes on....on the world of eBay!

I read a post on another site where a guy decided to buy some and tried them out he said for the price they were pretty good and used them for the season . He bought the rage knockoffs ! I guess if you paid full price for them that would be a different story.

....Just trying to point out BUYER BEWARE! I'm sure the TOXICS my son got from China would have worked and killed a deer....However, they were not TOXICS and it was clear they wouldn't hold up in the long run!

Wasn't saying anything was wrong with your post ! I thought it was interesting and I wish I could find the other post. I believe the guy after all the comments on the chinese knock offs decided to just buy some and try them. He paid something like 10 dollars and said compared to 3 times that for a rage they worked pretty well.

I'm guilty of buying the Rage Hypoderics from China... They have worked great for me in over the last three years, killing 6 deer with them.. but... The blades werent very sharp so i sharpened them and the shock collars werent the best so i bought rage collars.. They spin perfect and fly spot on with field points and at $20.00 for 12 heads I stacked up on them...

I bought 6 of the Chinadermics (knockoff Rages) so I could use the blades on my Rage Hypos but found that I couldn't really tell the difference between them so I sold all my Rage Hypos and bought a bunch of Chinadermics instead. The Rages were priced around $15 each, the knockoffs back then were $1 to $1.25 each.
Then I found that all the Rage Hypodermics are made in China anyway.
I am very happy shooting deer with my knockoffs. They do a very good job. :D

if the price sounds to good to be true there is reason for it and quality usually lacks.

the saying that "you get what you pay for" usually is fact. imo

.....everyone is missing the point of my post!

.....I am just giving a heads up regarding broadheads and nothing else....the China knockoffs steal the images from the real companies (as the real owner of Toxics told me) and they don’t manufacture to the OEM specs...I am just advising members to be aware...if it is soooo cheap there is a good chance it’s not the OEM and a very good chance it is made like crap and worst of all it’s STEALING!

....of course most stuff today is made in China...but goes through OEM...

....no wonder TRUMP has put tariffs on products!

So much of everything we buy today is manufactured over seas it would be nearly impossible to go into 90+% of the homes and NOT FIND something from China etc.
But if you buy from a company in North America you would get better warranty and service even if the items are from off shore. I would hope.
