Axe 340 Kryptec & MOBUC Camo Pics

Post by ComfyBear »

Here's a picture of the Excalibur AXE 340 (Dealer's Only) Kryptec Camo with SDS + Air Brakes
It's definitely a beauty of a crossbow. I think I'll be getting one, that way I'll have an even 1/2 dozen.

Tempting indeed, even more so when you see it "in the flesh". In the past I wasn't much of a Micro fan, but this little AXE is a game changer.
I love my Exo-series and Matrix Excaliburs and I think they need the company of a little brother.
One can never have enough Excalibur crossbows.

It DOES look good, Comfy.

What do you think it will do that any one of the other five Excalibur bows you presently own won't do?

----Says the guy who started with the Exocet, (still have it); an ExoMag,( still have it); Matrix 405 version, (still have it); and Micro 355, (still have it).

Logic is such a silly thing.

The way I see it there's a few advantages to the riser. First, being shorter, compacter and lighter, it should make for a better balanced crossbow. Second, where the stirrup is attached will allow one to use the larger turkey broadheads. Third, and best of all, the manufacturing process allows Excalibur to sell the AXE 340 at a lower price point.
Buying one is a no brainer. Question is, who will be the first on this forum to get one.

Well Hi5, I started in 1989 with a Excalibur Wolverine ( long gone), Exocet 165 (long gone) Vixen (long gone), Exomag (long gone). Phoenix (long gone), Vortex (long gone), Exomax (long gone). You get the picture. Truth of the matter is since 1989, I've owned a total of thirteen Excaliburs. All were bullet-proof, and served me well. OK, I admit, I did have a small misadventure with my 405. :o So why did I get rid of the above aforementioned models, because I needed the room for the five current models I own. See signature below for those models.

OK, so I'm a crossbow junkie, but only if they are Excaliburs. I had a top of the line Tenpoint QX4 XL, which I rarely used, :eusa-naughty: so it too is long gone.

Jeff, I think you "need" one, and it's just a matter of time before you get it.

That is a nice feature really, you can use the longer arrows and still hang her on a hook while in the stand. I think I could do without the brakes, and limb / string slapping gizmos! I like this one though. :eusa-shifty:

Since the brakes and other gizmos are included (a $120 value) on the Kryptec for the same price as the MOBUC getting them is a no brainer.

I hear you Lou, but the weight for me is a bigger deal. I think Norm said the sound of the crossbow is like ringing the dinner bell.  I probably would shoot it as is though for a while. Hope you like yours, and I am really looking forward to your review.

I'm only a little guy, however the weight of the Exomax has never bothered me, I'm more worried that in my hands the Micro will feel like a "toy".

Truth be known, I find I'm more accurate offhand shooting my Exo-Series than my Matrix crossbows, but then I cut my teeth on those "old boat anchors".
