Issue with red dot on a micro 355
I put a vortex venom red dot on the bow. I was using a laser bore sighted to help with zeroing but can’t get them to meet up at 30 yards. The weird part for me is that red dot sits higher than the bore sighter, but the dot sits lower than the bore sighter dot. Hope that makes sense. Kinda new to the red dots and I’m guessing I’m doing something basic wrong lol

when you bore sight a rifle using a collminator, to raise impact it makes crosshair appear as lower on the grid. I think this may be what you are experiencing. Just start at shorter range and shoot the bow.

Why not just eliminate the bore sighted all together and move the red dot to where the arrow hits?

Ah gotcha that makes sense. I’ll just do it the old fashioned way like you said. Was just trying to save some time with the boresignter until I could get to the range.

At bear camp now thinking about red dot sights on black coats.
The Vortex Venom mounted on my crossbow is mounted furthest forward for both eye relief and fast handling.
Sight in as suggested above.
