C2 Crank

Post by Forkston »

Can anyone make me a longer handle for the c2 crank i find the factory handle too small and somewhat dangerous, i was thinking about twice the size. If anyone is willing to let me know and I'll send you the money you need

Do you not have a local machine shop? There should be one close by. Maybe your local trade school might do that little project.
I have the C2 and you are correct you have to be very careful and hang on to it.

I bumped an older post, the original poster is a good guy, and a friend. PM him, or hit his email link.

You are quite welcome, glad to hear that it is working out better than the original. I made the longer handle by starting with a piece of 1" round stock and cleaning it up a bit and then knurling it on the lathe. I drilled through the center to match the diameter of the shoulder bolt and also opened up one side to make clearance for the head of the shoulder bolt to pass through. With this setup you can use the original shoulder bolt and spacer that Excalibur used originally. The original handle is on the left and the new one is shown on the right. Image
