Back shooting Crossbow again!

Post by wheelie »

Been gone for a few years from here and going out to bow shoots due to a very sick wife. Had to sell off most of my stuff to pay medical bills and meds. House hold suddenly down to one income and me with a broken shoulder. But don't feel bad for me as their are a lot worse off people in this world. Only one forum member knows all along what I have been going through and has made every attempt possible to help me to get back to The Fest. But through all this I did save my pride possession in crossbows.

It is my Vixen that I got cut down with a strait riser and is set at 90lbs. Bolt on the second riser and it is 115lbs with the forward riser. It has one of the very first TriggerTech triggers in it. I have two identical Hawke scopes for whatever complete riser I have on the bow. One for 115lb riser it goes out to 80 yards on the fives out to forty then tens out to seventy yards. It is the bow I have always shot 3D with. Priceless when you shoot and people with the big bows always say WOW look at that arch. 90lb riser and limbs only shoot 20 to 30 yards indoors or upstairs of my house.

Since some play video games daily I don't. I have an arcade built in my house since I have to be home with a sick wife we are battling through. Have a lot of fun with pellet guns upstairs since I broke my shoulder playing hockey. Did save two Hoyt compounds but sold both and bought lighter draw weights. So I am all set and back up and running. I did pick up a Phoenix in good shape in case I want to start back hunting and 3D if I choose to.

Noting better than getting up in the morning in your PJ's and grab a coffee and go upstairs and shoot sh*t. Was in search for crossbow arrows and a nice forum member has sold be 24 new arrows that my mini bow has always shot and lined up for. We will be seeing some again at 3D shoots and indoor spots. I am shooting 3D 2 or 3 times a week at our club getting ready for next spring.
